This privately owned, comfortable and well-equipped cottage has three bedrooms (sleeps 6), with views from most rooms across the Sound of Iona to the Abbey.
Tigh-na-Traigh (Beach House) is in a stunning beach-side location in Fionnphort village with wonderful views to the nearby island of Iona – famous for both its beauty and tranquility, and its historical significance. The cottage is on a quiet side road, just a short stroll from the village shop/post office, pub and restaurants.
Fionnphort (the name means ‘Port of the White Sands’) village is a small but thriving Hebridean community, situated at the western end of the Ross of Mull, the south-western peninsular of the Isle of Mull. The Ross offers beautiful un-crowded beaches, amazing wildlife, excellent walking and its own sunny micro-climate.
From Fionnphort pier you can take the 10 minute ferry trip to Iona, and also boat trips to Staffa, with a chance to see seals, otters, dolphins, minke whale, basking shark, and many sea birds.
